Here's an interesting article about Buckminster Fuller's three wheel Dymaxion:

The spirit of the Dymaxion lives on in such eye-grabbing, aero inspired three wheelers of dubious practicality as the electric Aptera, with its body like a Cessna, or the architect Zaha Hadid’s blobby Z.car.

Hey, those of us inspired by the "dubious practicality" of the Aptera you can email the author, Phil Patton of NYTimes about his "dubious opinions".

Cheers.

What, a journalist that does no research? Nah, can't be. Journalism is dead - there are only opinion pieces written by glorified bloggers.

It probably didn't occur to the author that technology could improve in 75 years.

How would you do that?

Here's one way: He has a web page (http://www.philpatton.com):
From there:
philpatton@msn.com
or
philpatton@nytimes.com
or
go to the article and click the "report an error" button.
That's what I did.

I think it's pretty safe to say that he's not going to be interested in the opinions of John Q. Jackoff. At best, you're going to be wasting a few minutes of your time and some valuable electrons in transit.

This kind of article just goes to show how important safety is to a car's potential sales.

I'm glad to know that even though the Typ-1 is considered a motorcycle, it goes above and beyond the safety requirements of a *car* even implementing tech you see in NASCAR or aircraft.
