While it's not really relevant to the Aptera; I found this fun video that shows what a 3 wheeler is capable of.
I've had an ongoing debate with a buddy of mine. He says there's no way 3 wheels can be as stable as 4.
This video of a T-rex pretty much blows his theory.:D

Tiff really knows how to wring the neck of whatever he drives, doesn't he!
Too bad the Aptera doesn't have the same performance as the T-Rex :D
That's ok, I'll take the mileage #'s and enclosed cabin over the T-Rex thank you :)

I couldn't agree more on all points;)

Here is another example of 3 wheeled stability. Now everyone who says this 3 wheeled layout may be unstable? Think again. On the German site of this vehicle there is a nice demo of abs/asr and esp in action. I hope the Aptera will have esp. :)

I wouldn't worry much regarding performance from 3-wheel vehicle. Its all up to the way you drive. When was the last time you get to drive your 4-wheeler in the same maner as the guy in the Trex demo? 4-wheeler can easily fishtail as 3-wheeler. We should worry more about rollover possibility in the event of fishtailing rather then fishtailing. From the look of the Aptera, I don't thing it will rollover easily - Center of gravity is pretty low to the ground. Three wheels are arranged in almost perfect equilateral triangle. It can't get anymore stable than that.
