Would someone mind eliminating that smile of a smiley face on the toilet? That's utterly disgusting and it bugs me every time I see it. And I see it every time I write a post.

Just for you I deleted it from the one post I used it on

Ordinarily, I'd say something like "get over it", but having just seen that smiley for the first time.....well, even I can't come up with a time when I would use it.
Of course, this one is probably kinda hard to figure out as well... :animal0029:

 There are several smilies in the complete list in rather bad taste, but the toilet one is indeed vulgar, and as Jimmydreams noted: when on earth would it be appropriate??

Wow... I generally ignore the block of smilies when I post, but now that I've actually looked at it (because I did the "huh? smilie on a toilet?"), yeah, it's pretty nasty.
I vote we replace it with :fighting0030: :)

*sighs*
It's vulgar and disgusting.
Wait, so what? It's a picture.
This is why I say that both liberals and conservatives are fascist… conservatives want to take away our civil rights, and liberals want us to all play nice and 'protect the children.'
*waits for someone to say that I'm pro feces cannon*

You're right. How about we have a smilie of a man being intimate with a horse. Does that sound good to you?

Now Karen, don't bring my horses into this. They've done nothing to deserve that!

For those Firefox users who find our prolifically pooping friend offensive I suggest you install the Remove It Permanently (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/521) extension. That way you can choose to (via right click menu) to "remove it from the domain" as far as your personal browsing experience is concerned while leaving it for those of us who aren't offended by animated characters.

The forum server seemed to be down for a short while somewhere
around 6 or 6:30 AM Pacific time today. Since then, the topics seem
to arriving here faster. It seems that they might be being sent more
in one "lump" rather than in many fetches.
Could be my imagination, but ...
Was the server upgraded, or maybe the Forum software upgraded?
Thanks, Gary
P.S.
I find that "smiley" offensive also.
I do not see a real need to have it available
on this "family-oriented" forum.
I vote for removing it, please.

Is Aptera participating in the upcoming auto shows? Anaheim and later Los Angeles? It will be interesting to know.

The rather disgusting and offensive "potty-pooping" "smilie" is still there.
Is there any good reason to keep it?
Please erase that file. Thanks.

I can't see a way to remove it as a moderator. Brian might be the only one to be able to do it. I've just blocked the image in Firefox.

Thanks.

Yes, quite a few of the smileys are vulgar and disgusting, although this may be the worst. The barfing one isn't much better, IMO. Is that a reason to remove it? How will the illiterates who are unable to spell the four-letter words that constitute half their vocal emissions be able to express their thoughts, which are, after all, vulgar and disgusting? 80% of television and maybe 70% of most Internet forums are vulgar and disgusting because that is where the American taste is. This forum is much lower in that percentage, so we should be thankful for that.

I am very thankful for the civility and politeness found here!
