Hey Aptera...
When you split the lists on the 31st, any chance you fine folks will publicize it AND include the city of the registrant?
It's one thing to know you're #2777, but if 90% of the people in front of you are in NorCal, then you can get a little more excited about your position (for those of us that live in San Diego, anyway).
Just an idea....

Better yet, maybe Aptera will already take the regions
into account when they give us our new numbers.

It sounds like that could happen based on the fact that the new numbers will be new production slots.

I don't think the list split renumbering will go by area. If you think about it, everyone is in line according to date and time of signing up. When the Typ-1h comes out and San Diego Typ-1h cars look good, they will already have the distribution areas in California set up. So the cars will be released to all other areas of California.
Sort of the same things should work for the the Typ-1e's. I think all of California will be open for delivery before all the first or second areas have cars delivered. Maybe those people that are within one month of gettng their car will be locked in and still get their car if other areas open up, but it really is very logical how Aptera would do it.
I am guessing Aptera may release some type of statistics later showing percentage of orders by region. I am sure they don't want to associate people numbers with those for privacy reasons.

I'm not suggesting that they redo either list based on location NOR am I suggesting they make anyone's name public.
I envision a simple list/area. Nothing more. For example:
Type-1(e)
#1- San Diego
#2- San Francisco
#3- Orange County
#4- San Diego
etc. That's all. It could be done for both lists without impacting anything as far as Aptera is concerned.

The current reservation list for "e" and for "h" vehicles apparently
will be separated by Aptera into two lists, one list for "e" and another
list for "h" reservations. Considering only the "e" list further:
If that is all Aptera does, we will still not know who gets the Nth vehicle,
because there is the further complication of delivering to possibly specially
selected customers located in the San Diego "area" first. So, #100 in
San Diego might get their vehicle before #10 in San Francisco. Thus, our
"new" number would still not tell us were we are on Aptera's "real"
delivery list.
However, Aptera could decide, at the time the list is split, just how many
(and who) from each area will be given priority, and re-order the list
to reflect their actual intended regional deliveries of vehicles.
Then our new "production" number would actually mean something.
The same could be done with the "1h" vehicle list, but that is further
out, and Aptera might not want to commit to a delivery order for the
hybrids quite yet.

Gary...
As I understand the list, Aptera will deliver the first X number of vehicles to San Diego area first, or possibly vehicles until X date to San Diego area only. But either way, someone from San Francisco will get their Aptera AFTER someone from San Diego no matter HOW far ahead the SF person was on the list. (assuming the person from SD was inside the X number or if their number came up before X date).
So in that regard, if we knew the location of each list holder, we could make some assumptions about delivery based on that info.
Let's assume Aptera is making 25 cars a week. Assume my number is #500, and I live in San Diego. But further assume that 400 people between #1 and #499 are in NorCal. Unless Aptera changed their distribution set up, it's logical to assume that I would get my vehicle in about 1 month, since during that time, Aptera would 'bypass' the 400 people in NorCal and I would effectivly be #100. But if they produced 99 vehicles and THEN started distributing to NorCal, then my number would be in effect #401 since the first 100 went to San Diego and the next 400 (in front of me) are going to NoCal.
I'd hate to be SOOO close to getting my Aptera in San Diego only to have the open up a NorCal center and make me wait longer....but hey, them's the breaks!!!:scared0011:

Yes, with more information "we could make some assumptions".
However, my point is that we would not have to make assumptions
if Aptera does the creation of the new list to actually reflect the actual
order (including their region preferences) that they will use to offer the
Typ-1e to the waiting customers.
If they do not make that "ordering" decision now, they will still have to make
basically the same decision later, as the vehicles become available.
Right now, they probably know who the first, 10, 20, 50, or even
100 vehicles will go to.

:aptera: A Change from H to E and you'll get a confirmation from Aptera . May take a day or two. Also,The list will be split on the 31st and the slot is the slot at that point as I understood it to be. I didn't receive any notification that being in Studio City we would be any faster or slower than San Diego or That North Cal Country is or is not later or sooner, so that will be interesting to see how that idea pans out..its' a little like being in line for tickets for a concert for Hanna Montana or a laughing Elmo at this point :jumping0007: We will all get there soon!
yes, same thing with me. I switched a couple weeks ago and received no word. As the deadline draws near, I'll make sure I get confirmation. I know they're busy, so I'm trying to stay out of their hair till then

I sent mine to family@aptera.com That could be the reason why I haven't heard from them. I'll try sending to the sales address. Congrats on the change.
