Yes.. and now that we have a battery operated robotic mower that cuts our lawn I have a 4-6 more hours of free time... My wife doesn't mind... She said "the Apter forum keeps me out of trouble" "Keeps me occupied " (and for a vehicle "I BELIEVE" she would like to drive!!! Wives... Do you think she is "setting me up"?! SET :jumping0005: DUNK (aperta for me!!!?)

The Aptera has a 10 kWh Batterypack and 120 miles range. So it's more like 10 to 12 miles Per kWh or 80 to 83 Wh per mile. :)

Do you think the battery takes 10 kWh to charge? I though it will give 10 kWh, but since it (and the charger) are not perfect, I figured it would take 12 kWh (at my electrical meter) to charge the 10 kWh battery from empty (when the Aptera stops running) to full.
Also, I thought the 120-mile range was at 55 mph and A/C off. I do more like 65 to 70, and most people pass me, with the A/C and stereo on. The high speeds have got to bring the range down quite a bit.

That being said, thanks, I have corrected to upper limit on my post.

Of course I have time. The Scooba is washing the wood floors, the Roomba is doing the bedroom and the Aptera Forum members are doing all my research for me!

One of the the things I love about California. :happy0025:

Yeah, I tend to drive a bit fast too and that's why I created that thread about upgrading the battery. If I drive 80 (which certainly doesn't make me the fastest car on 280), I wonder what the range would be?

This is also a reason why the little Think City car probably wouldn't work well for me . . . it goes 65mph max. (And the Tesla is a little out of my price range. :scared0008: )
