I was wondering- there are yellow strips on the back side of the front wheel skirts. Are those wired as turn signals? If so, that would be a great help forus, given the supposed blind spots this vehicle has. This would be rather like the side mirros that have LEDs in them- my pickup has these and they are great- I have aslso seen them on many German cars.

Just curious.

Hello,

The Typ-1 has three video cameras that show (between them) a full 180 degrees of view on the three screens on the dash -- so no worries there!

And yes, the amber lights on the front wheel fairings would have to be the turn signals.

On the Mk-1 prototype there are amber lights on both the front and
back "edges" of the front wheel skirts. There is also a string if
amber LEDs along the outside edge of each headlight.

It is possible that all of these blink for a turn signal indicator, but
I am not sure. Some of them might be daytime "running lights".
Or, maybe they do both functions?

I would hope they'd do both functions and would probably have to. They'd need to be running lights on the front primarily as DRLs are mandatory on motorcycles. On the back of the fenders I would rewire them myself if they weren't running lights so that the skirts could be more easily seen by passing vehicles at night. Making them blink is easy, as well. I've done this on a car before.

I agree, I hope they do both functions as standard.
But, it should be relatively easy to "fix".

there is a nice video in the video section of this forum, "nighttime walk around (http://www.apteraforum.com/showthread.php?t=67)" or something like that in the video he turns on the blinkers

Nothing to fix. They are on all the time as per motorcycle regs and they all function as blinkers as well.
