Yep, that's what we've been talking about :)

I don't know about anyone else, but sometimes the 'new' message listing here on the forum will lose blocks of of new messages.

i usually check all new threads, and occasionally, I'll notice that the forum never displayed to me 'new' messages....I thought I was caught up, but I actually missed a bunch.

Does anyone else have that problem?

(and here I thought I was the first one to see the new seat. Turns out, those messages weren't ever displayed as new, so I missed 'em)

Yea JimmyD,
I've been having trouble with the new message indicator. It always worked fine until a month or so ago.
I usually click the oldest new message, then hit the next thread button @ the bottom. Sometimes it jumps to the top of the list. Very strange.

When I log onto this site I click on the "New Posts" link in the blue bar. Then I go to each post and click on unread messages. I seldom miss anything EXCEPT when I spend too long wondering around or I need to leave the site, then a messages I missed are "read" and I do miss them unless I just read a lot of posts over again.
