Is that address for Aptera still current? It looks like it is just off the end of the runway at Carlsbad airport.
Thanks,
Mark

It is the address of their "old" smaller office. It is still active. Supposedly they have another location where they build the assembly line. There has been no definitive info about its address. We do know that it's about 100,000 sq.ft. and there are indications that it's in the same general area (maybe in Vista or San Marcos) which narrows the choice to maybe a dozen of possible locations. 100,000 sq.ft. warehouses are not exactly commonplace.

Maybe Google earth could yield some clues. If only there was more time in the day.

Two things:
1. While I understand that publishing a physical address and phone number verifies the existence of the company (something critical for the skeptics and depositors), I only think it could bog down the pre-launch operations for the company as they are bombarded with phone calls and uninvited visitors. With their low head count of personnel, it may tie up workers' time to entertain callers and visitors, even in whatever capacity their allowed to disclose information. For all they know, you're a GM spy! :)
2. Aptera has had to move from one small facility to progressively larger facilities. This is normal in an emerging company's life cycle. First you start with a business address (usually an office) where you have maybe a conference room to entertain investors with designs and maybe a rudimentary prototype. Once money comes in, you move to a larger facility to accommodate core personnel to get production designs under way, establish financial accounts, acquire insurance, maybe make a couple test models for auto shows, and work out a basic production system. In this instance, just before production debut, they will move to a larger facility (maybe even keeping the smaller facility as a strictly administrative office) and start cranking out product.
I have been to Aptera, but in a professional capacity. I can say without a doubt that their company is real, their staff is real, and their product is definitely real. Hell, I even fired up one of the rides, but I wasn't allowed to take it for a test drive. All I'm asking as a fellow green consumer and maybe a future employee is that we be cautious about what information we disclose. Once the doors to Aptera are open to the public, which in no way am I claiming they're not (I'm not a spokesperson), I would then say you could go and see the site for yourself and decide if you want to go forward with your deposit.

I was planning a trip to San Diego in a couple of weeks to visit some friends and was wondering if anyone knows the address to the current offices so that I could stop by and say hello.
Thanks,
Bernardo Production Slot #683 (which originally was for the hybrid, hopefully since I switched to all electric I'll move up to #283...):jumping0007: :character0029: :aptera:

Aptera has specifically requested that people NOT stop by their offices because they have limited staffing and cannot take the time necessary to show visitors around.
Once the move into their production facility (possibly next month), then they will be in a position to accept visitors.
They removed the building address from their website for just this reason....too many people showing up wanting to see the vehicle!!

I just ordered a new computer, I was thinking of popping by the private companies headquarters to see if I could meet the CEO and team. Is this a good idea?

I'd let them do their jobs and stay out of the office. However, nothing's stopping you from sneaking around, parking near their building, looking around, etc. They do test drive the vehicle from time to time.

I was not being serious esmith, and wolfdoggy missed my point entirely. Read it a again with a bit of sarcasm in mind.

I just got back from Vista. The phone numbers for Aptera are: (760) 477-2300 or (760) 599-4090. The address is 3151 Scott St., Vista CA 92081.
Since I had not received a confirmation of my cancellation for two weeks I decided to call Aptera. I found this number first: 760.431.8581. A woman answered saying Aptera, and when I asked to speak to someone about my cancellation she said she could not transfer the call to customer service because they "just moved into a new building." She took my name and telephone number.

They just moved into their new plant (Oceanside) last week. I believe they're still working on the phone/network setup.

If you reference that ware malcomb press release, they give an address for the new headquarters:
4010 Ocean Ranch Blvd, Oceanside, CA
It's apparently not a secret. Aptera is secretive only when it matters ;)
