According to this link (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=67879) and this link (http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/vboptions_group_banning), vbulletin supports wildcard searches if so configured. My attempts to use "*" as a wildcard suggests that the Apteraforum is not so configured. May I request that wildcard searches be enabled please?

Thanks in advance.

Edit: I understand that wildcard searches consume server cpu cycles but what I really want to do should not consume many cpu cycles. I want to simply leave the text and user name fields blank and use the other search options (like time or reply count) as a filter. Right now I get the error message: Please specify some words or valid user names to search on. There were no matches for those that you specified. If wildcard searches have been disabled due to server load, maybe filtering can be enabled? Is there a way to see all the posts "a week ago and newer"?

I can't help you with the wildcard search, but if what you really want to do is see all posts since the last time you looked at the forum, you can use the "new posts" link on the menu bar near the top of the main forum screen (just to the left of the search link).

Thanks. I use the "New Posts" link every time I visit the forum. However, if I start reviewing posts, get distracted, then try to use the "New Posts" link 15 minutes later, I find that it will only find posts "since I was last logged in" or within the past 15 minutes. :( I am looking for a work-around to that common malady. It is not a huge problem, but so should the solution, in my opinion. :)
