Find someone in California to act as an intermediary. You wouldn't be the first person to do that ;)

They've changed the deposit page. The verbage is still there that they are only going to initially sell to SoCal and then expand to NorCal before slowly expanding into other markets as they work thru the regulations in each state, but if you notice the pulldown list allows people from all other states to register and get a slot now (originally they only had California as a choice).

Currently the Aptera typ-1 is only available to those who reside in California. We will work hard to bring this vehicle to the rest of the country and to international customers soon but we can not confidently give a time frame as to when this will occur. Those from out of state will receive a prompt refund. We appreciate your patience and would like for you to sign up for our newsletter so we can keep you informed as to when we will begin selling the Aptera in your area

Why are you selling the Aptera only in California?

There are many reasons, including our dedication to seamless customer service. We will not have maintenance centers set up in other states until the expansion of our distribution as well state regulatory issues worked out. We are working hard to make the Aptera available to everyone, but in order for that to happen we need to solve any future contingencies on a regional level.

This does not answer your question about when they will begin to sell in other markets, and I am sure Aptera is eager to expand into other states, and would like the answer to your question as well. I'm sure they are working as fast as possible to get the information as to what it takes to qualify to sell vehicles in each state. California has some of the most strict rules about selling vehicles, so if the've figured it out there, it should not be a problem in most states.

I just tried to give a deposit , the site wouldn't allow if delivery address was outside of California.
