CARB Vote

Saw this on AutoBlogGreen, “Plug in America” is getting people to write Governor Schwarzenegger re: the California Air Resources Board (CARB) which is having a vote on March 28 re: reviving the ZEV (Zero Emissions Vehicle) program, which you’ll remember if you saw “Who Killed the Electric Car?”
Does anyone know anything about this? I’m dubious when asked to sign petitions outside Whole Foods that I’ll find out oil companies were ultimately behind it.

Oil companies secretly behind a drive to encourage ZEVs? Are you serious? Aren't we taking these oil company conspiracy theories a tad far?

I was referring to a petition to save some waterfowl I was once asked to sign, but turned out the real reason was to allow drilling in another area.

I don’t know anything about this CARB vote, was asking the forum because I thought maybe a reader here would have some knowledge.
