I didn't catch the whole commercial but I saw the Aptera on Spike TV just now... and then a website, touchstoneenergy or something like that....
I think some hype this way comes!

Nice to see that commercial getting some airtime!
Here's the link to the TouchstoneEnergy commercial over in the video section of this forum: Touchstone Commercial (http://www.apteraforum.com/showthread.php?t=322)

I saw it on Comedy Central the other evening. Yeah, it's great to see it being seen by such a big audience.

I was telling my friend the other day I was getting a new vehicle.. he asked what kind, and I told him "Do you know what the X-Prize is?" he said no way! You're getting an Aptera? I didn't even have to tell him what I was getting, and there are different cars competing..
We got into this discussion and I was telling him I think 2 groups of people will fuel the Aptera's entry:
Techno-geeks
People who think "Green"
Once the Aptera gets a foothold in the market through these groups, I'm sure other manufacturers will come on board with newer more aerodynamic designs. I find it crazy the dude made that aerocar and it practically doubled his MPG. Its time to start designing based on function. The only reason Aptera looks "weird" is because cars looked "weird" to begin with, we're just used to them now. Aptera is the way cars SHOULD have looked.

Indeed, if you were to show a traditional modern car to someone from the early 1900s, it'd look as much like the aliens were landing as the Aptera does to your average person today. :)
