I wish the trailing edge of the Fiat 500 was a little "crisper", for aerodynamic reasons...

Mmmm, aerodynamics are good, but on a city commuter they aren't as big an issue...not pushing huge air at 30 mph.
Both this Fiat 500 EV or the Th!nk City (neither amazing in aero) will be quite welcome in my garage :)
On a secondary note...I am getting tired of seeing EVs I can not buy...grrr...I might be buying a LEAF just because it will be the only affordable EV in the US.
The LEAF is fine and a good start and I'm happy Nissan is doing this, but it isn't my fav EV...bigger than my needs.

so thats how they did it...they filmed in Detroit. I'll try to keep piecing this together and I'll make a documentary, thanks.

LOL  I found another Fiat 500 conversion with MES-DEA parts from Switzerland. It's a German Dubbed video but you can hear some English from the MES-DEA manager. Nice to see how they are putting in all the components. At the same time I realize how far we can still come if we start to design EV's from the ground up. That's why I think the Leaf is a very interesting car and will really feel different in terms of refinement and construction.

MES-DEA components are quite small, the inverters are small and the motors as well. Give me one of these with RWD and and ACP drive please:) There also should be a fine if concept EVs are not released within two years, the cue is backing up at an alarming rate. I may need to get a Leaf for a year for fun but I never thought I would drive and electric catfish. If Think looks like they will launch end of year or early 2011 then I will skip the Leaf. Imagine a euro deliver program on EVs:)
