Lets come up with some kind of formula, based on already known info, which will tell reservers when their car will be coming.
Any ideas? I am curious as to when mine will arrive.

They cleared some out of staters from the list a while back, maybe they will surprise us with a production slot sooner than we were thinking. Fingers crossed.

well if you ordered the Electric, you will get yours much much sooner than the hybrid...
i am thinking of changing mine to the electric just to get it sooner

According to the USA today article Aptera expects to produce 2-3 cars a week. Even if they can bump the number to 4 cars a week, I am looking at 8 years before I see mine.

"Initial sales will be only in California. As production increases, other markets will be added. Fambro hopes to have the initial orders filled by the third quarter of 2009 and eventually ramp up production to 10,000 vehicles a year. Fambro said he may hold off taking more orders until manufacturing can catch up with demand. "

Wow, they're up to #1657? I only reserved mine a month and a half ago.
Demand is going way up the more attention they get. I wonder when they will cut off reservations.

On March 28 I became # 1684. Now just got to make room for it in the garage.

These cars are going to be very rare.
24 million live in so cal. 1700 apteras so far.
.0000708 percent of the population has reserved one.
But you can be sure the higher concentration will be in rich areas. I bet I will see a lot in Old Town, Pasadena.
The number does not seem correct to me, so please correct it if I am wrong.

Is there a limit to how many you can reserve per household ?

I'm not sure but from a new buyer perspective you really might want to wait to see how yours does before you get another, for several reasons:
Reliability,
Improvements,
Price,
Potential of a 4-seater to be released.
Etc.

I was thinking re-sale;). Maybe to a family/friend as favour or extra $$. Demand on this might exceed supply for a short period of time. Kind of like what happened to Prius. Especially if the gas is close to $5/gallon by end of next year.

It's rare, but I've seen some $4 a gallon gas here in San Diego. Diesel is running $4.05 at expensive stations, and I saw premium at one station for around 4. Several others are just below the 4 mark at 3.85, 3.9x, etc

I thought that I read that Aptera hoped to be doing about 4 cars a day
by the end of 2008, and up to about 40 cars a day by the end of 2009.

If this is true I have 289 days left.
