Chevrolet Volt started Production. Seems the startup was a slow ramp. I would have thought it would be a little faster than that. Interesting to note the rate a big car company ramps up.
The first Volt came off the line on March 31st, and last week overall three cars were built.

The first Volt came off the line on March 31st, and last week overall three cars were built. The plan is to build nearly 500 pre-production Volts over the coming months before transitioning to the salable units, the building of which will start in November.
These are only pre-production units. The ones they are going to sell are build from November onwards. They already made like 80 I believe for testing.

500 practice cars. Seems like a lot. I wonder what happens to these cars. Still, it seems they are hand walking each of these cars down the line at startup. Interesting.
