At least on paper, I think that Jason Hill's design for an Aptera store is more attractive than what Tesla has planned. What d'you think?

Why does Aptera need to build their own brick-and-mortar dealerships? I would think it would be much less risky to partner with existing electric vehicle distributors, especially when just starting out.

If Portland has two electric dealerships, then the home of the ZEV mandate must have dozens.

I don't know if there are that many EV dealerships in California, despite the ZEV mandate. The EVs back then were leased through the car companies' existing dealers, i.e., GM, Toyota, Honda, Ford, etc. You're right that trying to buy and/or lease property, build and equip stores, hire and train personnel, etc., would prove a major undertaking, at least while the company is starting up. Maybe Jason Hill's mockup is only intended as the prime headquarters, however...? We just don't know.

I think that Aptera should consider swinging a deal with some non-auto dealer retail chain that already has service bays and mechanics. Let's say something like... Sears, for example. There are already stores nationwide, and it would be much easier to simply train their key sales people and mechanics than to build stores from the ground up. Heck... Sears might even agree to provide charging stations so that, when Aptera owners went to the mall to shop, see a movie, get a bite to eat, etc., they could plug their cars in. That seems a much better alternative to me that trying to find a charging station somewhere else --and probably in a more inconvenient location.

Just my $.02 worth, of course.

I agree. I like Jason's design a lot better. Which one are they going with? Or are these just independent designs?

They are independent designs, I think the TS wanted to make a comparison. :p

I also think aptera's design is allot better considering it's look and the goal too make it as green as possible.
