a few questions? First, I must say that I have fallen in love with the design of the Aptera ! These are still some things which I feel need to be addressed. Eg., when one has a flat tire, how is the car lifted and the flat tire removed? Is there a spare on board? How is the tire valve stem accessed to fill air in tires?

Is there any attachment provided for a tow truck to crank the car up onto the bed of a trailer? Do the suspension joints require lubrication and how accessed? I notice that there is no shock absorber inside the springs, is the car light enough to not warrent shocks?

Will the factory furnish a crawler so an owner can wax the underside of the car ? lol !! Incidentally, McGuires makes a very good wax for fiberglass, their Flagship brand - use it on our fiberglass trailer.

OK, enough questions for the first post. Best to all, Don

Maybe they will give us a video owners manual, show us how to do simple maintenance.

Great idea about the crawler. Maybe it can be a three wheeled version. The Aptera is fiberglass though so I don't know what product would be used to make it shine.

I think they paint regular automotive paint over fiberglass.

Don, If you watch some of the vids you will see the shocks are mounted inboard of the body. Typical race car style (F1, open wheel like).

I bet they have thought of the trailering and towing part too. Probably, given the normal need to change a tire, they have figured that out as well!

drivin 98,
The wax of choice for many fiberglass trailer owners is a McGuires Flagship, available at marine stores, about $17.00, designed for fiberglass boats. I use it on our trailer, white with gel gloss finish. Would be ideal for the Aptera.

Just kidding about the crawler. Heck, the car is so light, all you would need to do is turn it over to wax the underneath.
