Does Aptera really have 25 employees left? WTF they doing? hmmmm

It's amazing how *FEW* new prototypes were actually built by Aptera in 2010 (<2).

The singular FATS0-1 might well be the last of its line...

But the Nissan Leaf looks like a great choice for pure EV Enthusiasts right now. Far more practical to own; more passenger seating, more cargo space. And backed by reputable automotive executives I would much rather give my money to. It's not like the Leaf is their first and only car on the road.

We miss you Steve, and the PP6 vision of your vehicle. :(

Who cares and what's the point. seriously. If you still have a deposit at this point you may be a bit delusional.

Steve and Chris and a couple other people made the Mark 1 and then the Zen. And at that point they didn't have 25 million. With 25 million they hired a hundred people, built a facility, and built 6 to 8 more prototypes. All done in less than 2 years. With the remains of 25 million and an extra 10 million, a year and three months later, PBW manages to make one "production intent" vehicle and lose the X-prize. WTF indeed. What are they doing? Not much it seems.

I'm still a little curious. Never had a deposit - I'm out of state.

+1 on that...

Since I live close to the Oceanside Aptera plant I drove by the other day. There were a number of cars in the parking lot and I breifly spoke to a tech that appeard he was on his way back to work from lunch. He told me they were still working on producing the Aptera. I didn't ask for a tour or anything ... just chatted for a few minutes. :sick0010:

Absolute silence is often times a sign of negotiations to sell a company. During the negotiations things are often silent. To better throw us off the case they should just keep putting out lousy newsletters. But I bet the new owners would probably feel better the sooner the lousy newsletters stop.

Pure speculation, but I've seen it before, and I can only hope that this is the case with Aptera since it may be the only way we will see one on the road.

...so the rest could be at lunch....

Yes, "at lunch" is right. That team has been at lunch since the beginning. Major fail on this. Weight, x-prize, market research...BS!

The amount of activity on Linkedin for these guys is WAY up. It is over.

If anyone buys the company I hope they are smart enough to pay very, very little and get rid of career marketing posers like MM. This will be the second forum a potential employer can read about his praise and accomplishments.

I could do without the MM newsletters. I only care about news of the DOE.

LinkedIn activity up for Aptera management, hmmmm. MM should take one of his newsletters, typos and all, to his interviews as proof of his good works. He'll land a job in no time ;)

But he DID get a job; at Aptera.

And for that entire time, seemingly never learned the basic skill of proofreading & editing before publishing. :(

Once the money has finally dried up, PBW will take his Dream Team (of incompetence) out to go ruin someone elses great idea.

His excuses can only go so far and in this economy what competent company would hire such a team with such pathetic incompetence and fundamental lack of basic business and marketing skills. One could hire a fresh college grad to do MM's job and he would likely run circles around the guy, one of my first year marketing analysts could do his job blindfolded. It amazes me how incompetent people are able to BS their way for so long and do so much damage to a product or concept, I guess having someone enable you helps quite a bit. I can't wait to read the official BS on why the company went over or was sold for a song.
