Here's a link to a Yahoo! article I just read on how to better your mileage with a regular gas-guzzling car. Looks like Aptera got it right the first time.

The car I'm driving is a better example of how to better your mileage with a regular gas-guzzling car (by adding some aerodynamic drag reduction mods). One advantage of having a very low Cd (I lowered mine from .36 to .17) is that driving at normal highway speeds takes less of a toll on gas mileage than with typical high Cd cars, since you are still operating in the fairly flat portion of the air drag curve and the steep "drag wall" part of the curve is well above your normal range of driving speeds. I don't start to see any drop in my car's mileage until I get over 65mph, and even at 70mph the mpg drop is very minimal. The Aptera should perform even better in this regard since it has a lower Cd than my car.
