CBS8 Consumer Alert on the Aptera

Here is a CBS 8 Consumer Alert that discusses the Aptera. It says that the car goes from 0-60 in 10 seconds, and is extremely quite. We don't get it see it driving around too much in this video, but you do get to hear about some of the finer details. It explains the car as a "Jetson" style car. It says that the vehicle is as efficient as physics will allow. It also shows some examples of the rear view cameras.

Admin: With all this recent media exposure, Aptera's inbox must be overflowing with more orders. Thanks for the head's up on this video! I liked seeing a bit more detail, particularly the cameras on the outside of the vehicle. Frankly, I am surprised that they are that large, since the ones in laptops are much smaller --hardly noticeable. It therefore wouldn't surprise me if they shrunk a bit before going to production.

As I've said before, this is a great thing, but like the iPhone, PS3 and other first run gadgets I don't mind letting others find the flaws and have them patched before I get my hands on it. The Aptera looks like it would be ideal for us in the Sunshine State, and I look forward to the national roll-out. Until then I'll let the left coasters have some fun.
