I have decided to put off my cross country trips until I get my Aptera for obvious reasons. But that got me to wondering what would it be like looking for someplace to charge for the night.

Since this would be my first plug in car I was wondering if anyone had any experience dealing with this. Do Motels/hotels have places for you to plug in or will I have to hunt down specific places that are plug in friendly?

Maybe someone else may know cause I was just wondering.

I imagine some chain might let you run a cord if you're in a downstairs room. You *could always forget to ask. :)

The Hyatt is supposed to have some charging facilities (http://www.autobloggreen.com/2007/08/31/hyatt-hotels-to-provide-accommodations-for-tesla-roadsters/) in a few of their properties.

Yes, the key would be, "call ahead". There are lots of options in places to stay almost anywhere you go, and all you need is a normal outdoor power outlet. Be sure to mention that you'll be using less than a dollar's worth of power.
