New job posting, sounds interesting.
adding to the "bunches".
I sure hope they can really pull this together, not like the Spark EV scam:mad: .

I find that a bit disconcerting...I would think that to be a critical position at this juncture (moving from development to production on an ELECTRIC car).
YIKES!

How do you know that this manager is even being hired for work on the Typ-1?
Aptera will hire workers for whatever its needs are at a given point in time, just like any other company.

Too bad they don't need a violinist.

I'm in a field that will eventually be required at Aptera (if not already), so I submitted my resume. It'd feel great to be part of a new idea and way of doing things.

I have worked in electrical systems engineering fields for some 25+ years and have been a VP of system engineering for aerospace electronics. I am currently an owner of an electronic design and manufacturing company making Medical and Aersospace equipment. I have a few start ups in my past. I think I have some experience in how things like this startup work.
How many electrical engineering MANAGERS do you need (not engineers, managers)? I count 21 people in the team picture. They already have a Director of Engineering.
Wouldn't you leverage current design over multiple platforms? How different would the next gen be? Can they afford to work next gen now when they haven't produced 1st gen yet. For Production in October, they need the design finalized very very soon (if not done already) - this would free up Engineering resource. They need to be done prototyping and need to be releasing pilot production now.
They are too small and this is too critical of a time for them to be working and hiring for the "next" product. They have to get the first one out and it has to work or they continue to eat cash faster than it is coming in. Unless they have super deep pockets and don't mind negative cash flow...

Aptera is now advertising for an Electrical Engineering Manager. Not surprisingly, they want someone with vehicle electrical systems and mass production design experience.

I say nothing anymore. Because if I publish experience of other successful vehicle manufacturers, it is named SPAM. But sometimes it is really worth to see a little bit further than the tip of the nose and take advantage of the know how from not only fools. In Europe we have a lot of EV experience from enthusiast and in Switzerland since 50 years EV’s on the road. I personally know sources and 1st class people who could be gold for the wonderful team of Aptera. But as I said, no SPAM anymore. I maybe better speak to my best friend.

Hey swinti...
Don't be afraid to say what ever you want, especially over here on the "Off Topic Board". There are several discussions about vehicles that will compete with the Aptera (i.e. the MiEV and the Volt) and this is the place to bring that up. The responses to your postings about the Lion Twike were probably because of your multiple references to it over on the "Aptera" forum, which we try to keep on the topic of the Aptera.
Do note that neither the admin or the moderators censored your posts or suppressed the opinions of others. While this board is relatively new and growing, we encourage free and open discussion with as little moderation as possible. That is what keeps it interesting... and that is what keeps it fun.
We welcome your input on all subjects relating to the Aptera and other alternative vehicles and we *especially* value the opinions of our members outside of the US. I love the fact that we have a member from Switzerland!
I personally would like to hear more information on the Twike and welcome your input here on translating some of the German on their website.
If you would like (and it doesn't matter to us), I could move your "Lion Twike" thread over to the "Off Topic Discussion" area for further discussion. Or, leave it where it is and tell us more about that vehicle... it's up to you.
Thanks for your input,
Mike (c0mp13x)

Probably a good idea a year or more ago....if they are transitioning to production now, they are alreday past this point (hopefully).

You received the reaction you did because you posted several pictures in a row, all plastered with your website.. I said nothing, but even to me it looked like you were just trying to mask advertising your website with feigned interest in the Aptera. Keep the spammy stuff to a dull roar and you won't get that reaction...
I think the other guy said it best when he said keep the APTERA forum about the APTERA, and use the off topic forum to discuss other EV technologies. We're all interested in EV here...
