It's a Californian, so I'm betting someone with a reservation:

They also made a blog, but it's not really taking off yet. I see some posts of people who were here as well. :D

In my opinion, apteraforum is better. I will stick with this. We have a huge following.

I thought the aptera was to be around 1500lbs.
Apteraclub is saying that it is to weigh 850lbs?
The site is in it's infancy. Did you see all the .com names it registered at the bottom of one of the pages? Trying to sell them to pay for the site or something they said. I'm happy here.

Well, you have discovered my identity. I created ApteraClub.com to fill in the gaps not covered by Aptera.com. Aptera Motors is just five miles from my company and information is easy to obtain. Yes, I am number 860 for a hybrid Aptera. That means sometime in late 2009 or early 2010 I will take delivery. As far as the difference of Apteraforum and our blog the choice is yours. We are more of an information source for those that know nothing about Aptera's and want quick answers or see the videos and pictures available. We bought URL's to protect them from those that will abuse them and turn them into non-Aptera sites. They are for sale to help cover the future cost of Aptera Club functions which will be planned after deliveries begin. Aptera weekend drives up the coast of California will be planned for next year. We have a link to this site on ApteraClub.com. So, please send your friends to either site and enjoy your Aptera. David Lickhalter:aptera:

Hi David, I'm not trying to question you or anythign but.... How is it protecting the domains by registering them and then selling them to whoever wants to buy them. Someone could just register them and use them for whatever they wish, just like they can buy them from you and do the same :).
Nice site by the way, and I too own a few domains with Aptera in them just in case we decide we need them. Not for sale though.

Money talks more than words. My wife is an attorney and she says we can get anyone to sign a purchase agreement stating how the names will be used. If they violate the contract then we get the register to revert it back. We do not plan on giving the names away for a few hundred dollars. Based on Sedo.com sales of names the auctions sell names for quite a nice penny. Right now there are plenty of Aptera.foreign being sold. Nearly every country is represented by aptera names for sale on Sedo.com. We tried to pick names that we thought Aptera fans or future dealers would want. Running weekend rally's are expensive and we thought selling domain names in the future might off set the cost and we can offer plenty of stuff for Aptera owners in California and perhaps in other states as the list of cities grow.
Thanks for the complements on our site. We have tried to get the latest info on the Aptera, like the weight change. As soon as Aptera Motors moves to Vista, we will get a video of their new facilities. If anybody sees info on ApteraClub.com that is wrong, please let us know.
We have been Apteraforum members since February and love to see all the interest in the Aptera. We own "1APTERA" a California motorcycle license plate. One of the Aptera folks has, "APTERA1". We cannot pick it up until we get our actual plates from the delivery of the vehicle. So, for all you out there, this is a word of advice, "Order you personalized plates now, before somebody beats you too it!

Admin: My thoughts exactly. It comes across as trying to turn a profit on someone else's brand (Aptera's).

eh, how the world works now-a-days...not that i care for it, just the way it is
if aptera gets real big and gets concerned by it they can go to court for cyber-sqwatting, but that seems unlikely...
more likely aptera won't care...they will have aptera.com and myaptera.com and probably let everything else go unless the similar sites are harmful to the brand
