I'd like to see him put his money where his mouth is, but I won't be holding my breath. Hopefully the management at Aptera is trying to contact his people as best as they can, as well as other politicians/celebrities for some good free advertising or investments.

Aptera needs more respectable spokespeople. Al had his 15 minutes of fame and blew it.

Aptera 1434, speak for yourself. He captured the plurality of the vote in '2000, and in general, his popularity has gone up since then. Yes, a lot of people don't like him. You're obviously among them. But whether you like him or not he still commands a great deal of respect among a large portion of the population.

Humm...Looks like I hit a raw nerve.
Your "Golden Boy" needs to walk the walk, if he's going to talk the talk. He doesn't have any science degree. His carbon foot print went up at his house over 10% last year, he owns a fleet of SUVs, and parades around in a private jet! He doesn't own an electric or hybrid car, nor does he have solar power at home.
Who is he kidding? I'm not going to drink the political eco Koolaid he is spouting out. He is merely a mouth piece.
Who cares what happened in 2000? Let's live in the present and future with the Aptera vehicle and get people like Ed Bagley Jr., Tom Hanks, George Clooney, and other well known eco scientists to support the Aptera project.
No, I didn't support Bush. My average mpg for my 2 Honda Insights was 58 mpg.
Top that Al.

I'm not an Al Fanboy. I appreciate his efforts though. I've been to a couple of his talks and he's more likely to be wooden than electrifying.
I believe his "fleet of SUVs" is composed of Ford Escape hybrids and Lexus Hybrids. Also, about the home solar (http://www.treehugger.com/files/2007/06/al_gore_gets_a.php).

I pretty sure the impact of "An Inconvenient Truth" will probably "top" your 58 mpg but kudos to you anyway!
Cheers

I haven't been paying attention to the main stream media lately. Looks like "dear old Al" is starting to put his money where his mouth is, and is reinventing himself.
Yes, he is wooden like when he speaks.

"Al Gore has decided to grow a beard, to combat the public image of him as 'wooden.' Unfortunately, the beard will only grow on the North side of his face." -- Weekend Update

Seriously, I like Gore, and with a population as 'out of it' as America has been for the past decade, we *need* a mouthpiece. Fortunately, $4-and-up gas will knock the rationality back into us.
