It's good to know many of us here have invested in half a chair.

Maybe they could up the "Lock In" offer an extra $250 on top of the origional $750 and we could all get one of these chairs if they don't ever build us some cars. Or more likely they will just go under and then we would just have to chock it up to CHAIRity.

This is simply the first step in building a hyper-efficient aerodynamic office chair. The Aptera 1ch!

The only thing people are locked into is eternal waiting and wishful thinking.

I wonder if I could trade my reservation for one of those expensive chairs. Even on the used furniture market, those Aeron chairs are $500 and higher.

I'd LOVE an Aeron chair to call my own! I'd also like an Eames sofa and a Frank Lloyd Write house. Or a Frank Gehry house- let someone else choose between the two. I ride my bike every day, and it is FAR more than adequate. But it would appear that Aptera has top of the line bikes that have drive shafts instead of chains, and it is obviously more advanced, expensive and aspirational than my daily two wheeled hack. I love my 32 year old VW, and despite it's thriftiness, reliability and limited use, a mobile garage and support team would demonstrate clear superiority over other drivers of 1978 Dasher wagons.

It all sounds sweet as honey, but I thank goodness that I didn't make such purchases on credit while begging for the financing of my basic day to day household operations.

Peace,
William

I just saw this video and it really made me angry. I don't have a problem with companies doing team building exercises. That seems good to build a strong team. But to record it and put it on their youtube page? Really? To watch these guys just laughing and having a great time with the chair races... while the company lets us down again and again.

If they had just delivered their first car to reservation holder #1.. yeah hoop it up and have a party. I'd be all for that. But for where the company is and how disappointed I am... really bums me out for some reason. At least I have Nissan to get me excited again.
