New York test drives? Really? Why?... Pointless
Random spectator says, "I like this car, when can I get one?" MM replies, "2015, but you can order one now on our new website for $500" Random spectator says, "Hmm" and then walks away thinking man there are some crazy people around here.

Has anybody seen any additional information about this test drive tour? Just like all the other promotional tours for Aptera. There is little to none advance information. Guess they still have not picked up their copy of Marketing 101.

The US map in the newsletter shows a number of dots in lots of places. Mostly on the East and West coast with a few in Texas also. Interpreting that picture can (maybe) give you an idea of where they are planning on stopping but not when. You have to use tea leaves for that...

"MM: Paul I want to organize some testdrives for our fans."
"PW: Great idea! But where?" "MM: I know! As far away from our home base as we can!" "PW: Yeah screw those early reservation holders, we visit California last" (Mmwhahahaha!) Edit: Quote:

I actually don't mind that they are going from East to West since they started in Washington DC trying to beg for money to build the darn thing. What is ridiculous is the fact that they allude to the "tour" on the newsletter and then they give no specifics about where they will be. Princeton is a pretty large city. Good luck finding them on Monday. "send is twitpics" Here is the best twitpic ![]()

Nothing like last minute notice on when and where. (From the email Aptera sent this morning). And to top it off they still give no indication of the other stops on the "tour" nor the expected dates.
Tuesday, September 21, 2010 105 Carnegie Center Princeton, NJ 08540 (Look for a big white tent) 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

some activity is better than none. At the end, I guess it doesn't cost them more than $100 for hotel per person to have this rolling, and you don't need more than 3 people.
What upsets me - everything indicates that Aptera won't be affordable. And in the Li-Ons price range - it's yet another Tesla. And for $40k i'd rather buy used Cessna, used prius and a battery
