Smile Aptera motorcycle

It is too bad that the Company held out for the status of an automobile. The CanAm three wheel motorcycle (two up front and one in the back) could use some competition and the Aptera could have provided that with the comfort of an enclosed passenger compartment. No crash tests and all the falderall to pass to register as an automobile, but with 90% of the safety items met.

I once took a trip around the USA in a T-33 (jet trainer) one weekend and would have loved to have made the same trip in an Aptera but I could not sell them on the idea. What a contrast it would make - "The USA from 35,000 feet versus 3 feet, 3 days versus 30 days, 6,000 gallons versus 30 gallons"
