I just spent about 45 minutes with Paul Wilbur and Marques McCammon at TED and they gave me (what may be new) info on the delivery order of vehicles.
In the past, there was some info about those on the list being in close proximity to their HQ getting priority, even over lower numbers in other parts of CA. This is officially now NOT the case. Probably as a nice little silver lining to the delay announced in January, they now plan to have service infrastructure of some type in 6 major cities in California ready to go on launch day. So Aptera is now committed to delivering vehicles strictly in order of our reservation slots. Paul made a tiny qualification, that it's possible that some very remote corner or rural areas may have a very slight delay, though Marques was pretty convinced that wouldn't be the case. Good news for us NorCal's! (Bad news for San Diegans who were counting on line jumping due to their residency!) I was also somewhat amused (and impressed) to hear that they are NOT putting employees, investors, or others ahead of us "regular" customers. Paul Wilbur told me I'd be getting my vehicle long before him as his number is in the 1600s! That's integrity! (obviously he'll have plenty of company demo cars to drive when he wants, but he's waiting like all the rest of us for his true personal car!) --josh

It's great to hear that the folks in NorCal will not be pushed aside because of their location. Now, the actual number of your reservation means something and favoritism should not be a factor... Lotsa good news lately! ![]() |

Hey Josh, if you can, and if you're seeing them again, ask a fairly specific question:
If a person who is on the waiting list has moved out of state, can they still come to california and pick one up if they are willing to take the risk? Thanks Wow. Tons of info all of a sudden. I feel like a little kid. Ha. G.M. |

I was really hoping that would be the case with the delay, so this confirmation made my day. I can now cancel my plans to move to San Diego
Thanks for the great news! Jay

Wow!
I am amazed at the information that you are getting from these guys Josh. I think that what you are putting out here for the rest of us is huge. It is actually big enough that I am going to "lock-in" for mine. I am a little disappointed as I live about 10 miles from their facility, but I hope I can get mine by my birthday (Spring 2010). Keep the updates coming!!

I doubt that. I think they will say anything you want to hear. Probably he was a car salesman before(I guess he still is).

Thanks Josh. Yeah, they will probably say I should wait for the roll out across the country. But that would be a long and painful wait.
Heck, I'd be happy to lock in though if I hear otherwise. And I'd sign a waiver. Anyways, have fun. G.M. edit: Plus I can still use my California address. But I would rather be honest about where I will be driving it. And they could get lots of information about how she performs in New Mexico at 6000 feet.
