The company has backed away from a late 2009 delivery date for the first 2e cars, and now sees 2010 as a more realistic goal. “We’d have to stretch to get some cars out in 2009, so there’s some chance of that slipping. But we will be on the road in 2010. This is not really unexpected. For once, I'd like to hear it first, directly, from Aptera to depositors. Aptera still fumbles with its communication to depositors I think. ![]() Quote:

I agree it would be nice to hear an official statement from Aptera, and not through parsing details from interviews. Come on Aptera! Give us a brief production roadmap! I wonder how long DOE takes to re-evaluated the application and come back with a decision? |

2008 didn't happen, 2009 probably not, 2010 is more realistic, 2011 for sure!

Man, they'll be delivering them in 2010 but 2010 is 12 months long. I'd hope it's not the 4th quarter like <cough cough> it was supposed to be in 2009. And I'm curious if the 25k-40k is legit. Saying it's between that range means you should be able to get one for under 26k (with no options)..

Jim, the marketing guy's name is Marques McCammon, just a friendly heads up.
I am not in CA so have no way to get a 2e. If I had my deposit paid, I'd still much rather wait for a car done right than get a half-baked cookie now. That said, Aptera does need to be more communicative, it's not up for debate. |

Yes, their communication skills suck. The Evening News has more information about what's going on at Aptera, than their own website...

I keep having to remind myself this is a startup. They've never done this before. The vast number of new car companies that have failed in the past should give us the hint that building and selling a car is very difficult. I'm trying to be patient with them.
It's just selfishness, the sooner Aptera get their act together and get the 2e rolled out in CA the sooner it'll go nationwide and come to my area. |

Having to read about the latest delays via the press makes me think our "wingless" flight company is also specializing in "wordless" communications with us depositors. Is there any legitimate excuse for not putting out any info at all to us?
