Default Hey Paul!

HEY PAUL! Are you reading this? HEY MARQUES! You reading this too?

Good!

I don't know how dumb you think your employees are, but organizing a pep talk and telling them that all of the "negative" information on the forum is due to "competitors" like Fisker and Tesla trying to sow discontent seems pretty insulting to their intelligence. Do you honestly think that they can't tell that the people on this forum with the harshest criticisms are those who've been the longest supporters of Aptera? Here's a tip: insulting your employees intelligence isn't a good way to motivate them.

HEY PAUL! Just a tip. You may find that trying to fix employee morale by telling them that any employee who reads the forum from now on is "OUT!" may not work in the way that you're expecting. On the off chance that you ever consider doing so, I would recommend *NOT* ordering a plaque stating, "The Beatings Will Continue Until Morale Improves".

HEY, PAUL! I get that you're *Deeply Concerned* about who leaked information about Laura Marion and her BEING ACCUSED BY THE SEC OF AIDING AND ABETTING MASSIVE ENRON-STYLE FINANCIAL FRAUD to the forum. Two things:

1) Do you really want to know who my source on *that one* is? The majority of my sources don't like being named, but since you asked so nicely and this particular one didn't object, I'll let you in on the secret: the one who doesn't mind being named is "Google". How could you possibly have expected to keep that a secret when all of the information is out there in public documents? How dumb do you think we are? Wait, don't answer that one.

2) If you're really bothered by it merely being leaked to the *forum*, I'd recommend that you not go to Google News today and search for "Aptera". Those articles just got mailed to a hundred thousand Google News Alert holders' inboxes.

Sincerely yours,
KarenRei from the Forum

P.S.: HEY APTERA EMPLOYEES, current and former! To the ones who've worked so hard on design, engineering, fabrication, testing -- to those who believed in the dream, and now are being picked off batch by batch while the Detroit team lines their pockets: I just want to let you know that we on the Aptera forum stand with *YOU*.

(This has been part three of a twenty-six part series)

As an aside, in case Aptera wants to order one to match the current management style, such signs already exist:

Yep. Company-wide "pep talk".

Not that "company-wide" is all that wide any more.

Well that time would have been better spent making a vehicle.
Anyway Paul, you got to be the CEO, that is, the responsible person. If it works out, you get to take credit, if it goes wrong, you get to take the blame. No fair blaming others, you are in charge. So be a man, fall on your sword, apologize to the employees for falling behind and having to lay off their colleagues, and then ask them, beg them even, to show the world that it can be done, that you people can make the best vehicle ever. It's called leadership.

Don't like the criticism? Being CEO is being responsible.

Any other questions?

Back to work. Let's see - holiday shopping list. going to amazon shopping cart, 'Marketing for dummies' - check. Adding: 'management for dummies' - check....

No kidding. Want to get morale up? Get a vehicle out the door. Don't treat them like idiots or threaten to fire them if they read the forum because you don't think they're mature enough to hear criticism of your management.

He doesn't even need those books, everything his customers want is here free off charge. But he even banned the forum. Sad really. He banned his customers.

Karen, where did you hear this about Paul Wilbur forbidding their employees to read this forum?

You know I can't give you names. You think I want current employees, former employees, board members, contractors, etc getting fired, losing their severance or otherwise getting in legal trouble?

And yes, "Out" was his words.
