You are correct! I was in a - glance at the future - museum and did not even know it. Always sort of optimistic.... This actually may be good news for the Aptera project to move forward with less baggage for a new investor buying the IP and the assets/patents molds or whatever. Wonder what happens with the molds for the SO-1 at Energetix (sp)? For Sale? Lately, I have been working on a 1971 glass replica of a '57 Porsche Speedster purchased in an auction that was hit on the right front through the suspension... Cut and rebuilt the suspension with Bilstein shocks and steering dampner and am finishing the front fender to move on to the roll bar welding... should have it ready for the spring... ![]() ![]() Hey,...Now I am tuned up for working on composite structures with compound curves again... when is the Aptera auction? a little sad.... but..... What up with the forum now? Hold on for the new guys (Team C)? ....and Steve.... another crack at it? b |

It's not surprising to those of us here. It's still a sad end to Steve and Chris' legacy. So much potential for a funky 3 wheeler. Maybe this allows for a new hopeful future for Aptera...
PBW stayed true to type (smoozing dumb@ss) even in his farewell letter. ![]()

Steve I'm sorry to see it go. Got my deposit back after you left to "Pursue Other Interests" or some other such nonsense. I got my leaf in June and love it but would have liked to have my Aptera a year or two earlier, I still love the design, concept and execution, sorry you could not pull it off. Well I have a 39 month lease so I'll wait and hope for developments, good luck to you and Chris.

I love this (sarcastic):
"The ATVM loan would have provided funding for the development and commercialization of a five-passenger, midsized sedan (similar to a Toyota Camry) that would be base priced at less than $30,000 and deliver more than a 190 mile per gallon equivalent. The concept of this vehicle had been in place since the very beginning of Aptera, and we had been wholly focused on its development for the last year. The last remaining hurdle was finding new funds to match the DOE loan." So you spend 35+ million to bring an aerodynamic hyper-efficient three wheeled vehicle into production, but what you REALLY wanted to do was bring a five-passenger, midsized sedan similar to a Toyota Camry into production. And PBW wonders why no one is willing to invest in him...

I am. I have investor friends who may be willing to commit $50M as long as the current management is not part of the picture.
