oh wow, good one Paul!

"we had recently received a Conditional Commitment Letter for a $150 million loan."

Turns out, no such "Conditional Commitment Letter" exists???? hahahahah

Wow, that is so sad for those last employees. And such a predictable ending of a string of incompetence and arrogance.

Could we now finally go forward.... ?

solid gems:

“A lot of people on the West Coast thought they could do the industry better. But the reality that has set in is that these are capital intensive industries, and it’s difficult,” duh.
a final parting remark on California? vurp. you could of stayed in your pond.

"Wilbur said he still hopes to develop the car, but doesn’t know whether he will start a new company." Please try.

This is one of the things I am afraid of. Paul and cronies may torch the tooling and crush the dozen prototypes out of spite, and then sit on the patents he filed last year (remember those?). He filed those patents after Steve left, so they are in Paul's name. That might dash the Aptera dream. At least there is Edison2 to carry the hyperefficiency torch.

If that can be avoided, then I'm looking forward to the fire sale! Some lucky bastards could get one of the prototypes to tool around in.

Classic PBW, lies on top of lies. That man has no credibility. I knew the moment he stepped inside my house that he would be a disaster. Go back to Detroit and I hope I never see his ugly SSR car and face again! Same goes for Marques, Laura and Tom. Shady, every one of them! I could on and on, but my dinner is hot and they're not worth a cold dinner.

Is it odd that I feel a sense of relief and release? Because I really do. The team B era has been a tragedy of epic Greek proportion, and it's been both sad and insulting to watch. The latest "2.0" stunt was a perfect example of how despicable they were, and handing the employees holiday terminations sets their fine reputations in stone. PARASITES. The intellectual property may be dormant, but it has better chances of survival without the disgusting bloated ticks still attached.

Steve mentioned before that the patents are all on the SO-1 and specific to that design. Luckily, not on any of the original PP designs. But I'm not a patent lawyer...

I don't have an eZ, but it'd be an honor to give you a ride in my carbon fiber "sting sport." I don't know where the aptera design rights and prototypes will end up, but if they return to you and you need investors, please let us know. (I can't be the only one who doesn't want this dream to die)

got my deposits (both e and h) back a couple years ago after meeting marques, etc. while offering to do some free commercials (I direct television) and talking with some of the tech guys who explained how exponentially slower everything progressed after the detroit guys got there.

I wish you the best on this sad day.

At one time I was impressed with PW but came to see more clearly his "Detroit run it in to the ground tactics (EV-1 reference)." Now that he is gone, from the private sector, maybe he should run for President. He can sure do a lot worse there, since the country is halfway into deepening debt. He could push us all over the edge of the abyss.
