Default A message to Aptera employees by Steve

My Dear former colleagues,

From the bottom of my heart I thank you for all that you've done for Aptera. You, your work, your blood, sweat and tears have truly created something very special. Even today with the Volt and Leaf and others coming, there is nothing like the Aptera Typ-1 that you created. Nothing. As you contemplate your next moves, please stop and reflect on all of that magical work you did and raise a glass to yourself!

Chris and I feel a personal responsibility to each and every one of you, even those of you that we didn't hire or that came after us, because you bought into our dream and you tried to make it happen. For that we are ever grateful. And as such, we want to help you however we can. Whatever help you might need, especially this time of year, help in finding new work, providing you with a stellar reference, or whatever support we can offer, please send me or Chris a message through this forum (His username is Epic).

I know it's been a while since we've talked. I would have reached out to all of you personally but I don't have your non-Aptera contact info. The board, or specifically the chairman forbid Chris and I to have any contact with you after we were fired which is why we left without really saying anything- and why we didn't stay in touch. None of that matters anymore as of yesterday. As a door is closed an new one will open for each and every one of you.

Take care and please let me know how you are doing!

-s

p.s. This message does NOT apply to the executive team ;-)

Dear Idealab,
I have done a lot of research on the good and bad at Aptera Motors Inc. I have written a list on actions that have to be done to bring Aptera Motors Inc. out of bankruptcy like General Motors did in 2008. My family help started the Auto Industry and General Motors in Detroit, Michigan. I do have some experience about how the Auto Industry works in this country and around the world. This is not just an Aptera Issue. Idealab and the other Aptera Investors will lose their shirts if Aptera Motors Inc. does not come out of bankruptcy quickly.
My list of actions that need to be taken ASAP to save Aptera Motors Inc. from Bankruptcy.
1.) Order the Selloff of Aptera Motors Inc. Assets to be stop now!
2.) Fired Paul Wilbur (CEO) who forced every company he ran into bankruptcy, Laura Marion (CFO) help steal Millions of Dollars from Delphi Corp., Marques McCammon Job is to keep the public inform on what is happening at Aptera Motors Inc. not to keep the public in the dark about what is happening at Aptera Motors Inc., Tom Reichenbach VP, Chief Engineer could not get the Aptera Vehicle design finish in a reasonable period of time instead it took him a few years. He try to change the design of the Aptera Vehicle halfway through the design phase, he helped bankrupt Aptera Motors Inc. In a nut shell, all these people from Detroit who could not run an auto company in Detroit, Michigan, USA should not be running an auto company in San Diego, California, USA.
3.) Bring back Steve Fambro and Chris Anthony Immediate! They made Aptera Motors Inc. into the pride of this Nation. Steve Wilbur and his Detroit Friends destroy Aptera Motors Inc.
4.) Throw out the New Aptera Four Wheel Vehicle. People like the Aptera because it is an Uncommon Three Wheel Vehicle not a Four Wheel Car that looks like a Chevy Car.
5.) Inject enough cash in Aptera Motors Inc. for a year to keep the company running (Lights On, People being Paid and Supplies being bought.) for while these improvements to save Aptera Motors Inc. are in the works.
6.) Design a Three Wheel, Four Doors, Five Seat Hybrid Vehicle based on the Aptera 2e Design.
Everyone one who fell in love with the Aptera 2e will fall in love with the Aptera 4h/5h.
7.) Raise about $200 Million Dollars (USD) in Capital from Aptera Motor Inc. Investors, Suppliers, Customers, Workers and the Public to buy and run the Car Factory in the State of Ohio to build the Aptera 4h/5h.
8.) Get Aptera Motors Inc. listed on the NASDAQ Stock Exchange to raise much needed capital (Money) to keep Aptera Motors Inc. alive and growing.
Alternative Back up Plan.) In Case of failure to raise enough capital (money) to buy and run the Car Factory in the State of Ohio to build the Aptera 4h/5h, Aptera Motors Inc. Investors turn in their Aptera Motors Inc. Equity to Tesla Motors Inc. in exchange for Tesla Motors Inc. Shares of Common Stock. Tesla Motors Inc. renames the Aptera Vehicles to be called the Tesla Vehicles. Tesla Motors Inc. builds the “Tesla” Vehicles in the Tesla Motors Inc. NUMMI Auto Factory in California. Tesla Motors Inc. would have its Third Generation Vehicle build for sell to the masses of the population, Tesla Motors Inc. using the currently 90% Unused Factory Floor Space and Aptera Motors Inc. Investors include Idealab would see their investments grow in value quickly over time. General Motors Inc. restructure during its Bankruptcy. General Motors Inc. is doing better than ever now.
If action is not taken right now by Idealab and the other Aptera Motors Inc. Investors, Aptera Motors Inc. will close its doors forever. Idealab and the other Aptera Motors Inc. Investors will lose a majority of their multimillion dollar investment in Aptera Motors Inc. So the big question now is, “Save Aptera Motors Inc. from Bankruptcy and increase your investment quickly or do nothing and let Aptera Motors Inc. close its doors forever and everyone loses a majority of their investment in Aptera Motors Inc. and a one of the greatest ideas of the auto industry is lost forever. What will Idealab do? Save Aptera Motors Inc. from Bankrupty? Or let Aptera Motors Inc. go bankruptcy and cause massive finical lost. The choice is yours to make. Good luck because you will need it.

Thats pretty impressive for one days work. Actually its really not that impressive since "saveaptera" has not had much to do in the last few days and has had plenty of time to study the matter. And how do I know he has had all that time on his hands? Its quite elementary my dear Watson.......

It's truthseeker. This statement has his tone and beliefs. He's an odd dude but enthusiastic for Aptera - so no harm done.

Why do you think these common sense ideas are crazy? I would think Steve would be happy that we are want to see Aptera brought back to life like General Motors in 2008.

No, I do not. I understand that SEC Forms have to be filled, lawyers have to be hired and etc. I am just created a response plan on how to stop and undo the damage cause by Paul Wilbur and his friends. If you have any ideas to help, I would love to hear them.

Default Aptera Rebirth?

I don't visit for a couple of days and the whole world has shifted (at least in Aptera land). Foreseeable, but the actual moment of death is always a shock.

In my opinion, it's going to be very difficult to re-create the magic surrounding the original Aptera vision. In 2006/7, there were no mass-market electric cars, Steve and Chris had a vision to fill the gap with a low-cost, unregulated 3-wheel vehicle with unprecedented efficiency. The vision was strong enough to attract $24M which funded a 50-70 person design team for several years; it seemed like a bunch of smart people with modern design tools might do something revolutionary. We all witnessed the long slow death, and now multiple mainstream EV's are coming to market.

Any attempt to compete in the mainstream market will take several years, and people will have nice, safety-tested, mainstream alternatives whose only obvious drawback is costing 3-4 cents a mile in electricity instead of 1-2 cents a mile. There's even a couple of hyper-efficient concept cars from Europe that might see production.

Chris's outfit Epic appears to be close to shipping a minimalist 3-wheel road car, evidently designed more for fun than maximum efficiency. I assume he harbors no illusions about selling zillions of them. Many of us die-hards might be interested if he offered a re-skinned streamlined closed cabin similar to Aptera. I'd be interested on principle, but my sobering assessment is that a golden opportunity to reset expectations has now been lost, and it's not likely to come back.

That is a sobering assessment, Pat. Not sure if I completely agree. Valuable time has been lost, but the options out there are still very limited. I cannot even guess what it would take to get to Aptera 3.0, so to say. How much previous work can still be utilized, how much has to be redone? In any case, you are probably right that we would be talking years.
Oddly, though, with a bankrupt Aptera I am more hopeful now then I have been in a while, excited even. If we can get team A involved to restart Aptera, I would be most eager to place a new deposit. I am holding on to my old guzzler to see where this is going, and I am cheering as loud as I can: GO STEVE! GO CHRIS! - GO APTERA!
