If the liquidation is completed and they are still stiffed then a lawsuit would be appropriate.

You really ought to be careful about how you word things if you don't want to find yourself as a defendant vs IdeaLab.

This is what I mean to say.

Maybe I'm missing something, but this letter specifically says the deposits are in a custodial account that would be released to Aptera only upon vehicle delivery. I went ahead and sent Wells Fargo a letter asking them to refund my deposit, and I'm just keeping my fingers crossed for now.

I've heard rumors that the account has been closed, but that would seem to contradict what is stated in the letter. If the account was closed, who closed it and how?

(Edit: After reading the Wells Fargo letter again, I note that it doesn't actually use the word escrow, so I have removed that word from my post above.)

First time I have seen that letter from Wells Fargo. I hope you get your money back. Why did they let Laura be the Aptera CFO when she got in trouble with the SEC? May the CFO be the reason why Aptera went bankrupt?

I hear the liquidators have even hired Paul to help them estimate value and sort through the mess he left behind. (I don't know this first hand.) So silly though, that man has a track record of over valuing crap and under valuing assets.

Someone ought to get the press involved more with this refund situation. Green Car Reports said this in their chronology piece,

"Q: What happened to all the deposits?

Wilbur claims the majority of the deposits have been returned--starting last August--though "they're having a hard time finding" some depositors. On the other hand, at least one GreenCarReports commenter has yet to receive a deposit back and is not having calls or e-mails returned by either the company or its liquidators. "

Here's another article I read lately, http://www.inc.com/laura-smoliar/fou...dishonest.html. These few statement rang true for me as I reflect on my first hand experience with team B.

"It’s not just that people lie (although they do). Some people are so wrapped up in a delusion, and tell themselves a story so many times, that it becomes reality in their mind."

"Integrity (or lack thereof) travels with people: deal to deal, institution to institution, company to company. Stick with good people, and save yourself a lot of grief."

Isn't that the truth!

Paul should personally see to it that all deposits are refunded. It was his decision to kill the three-wheeler and then hide it from the public. It seems he feigned caring about the loyal fans, his commitment to the three-wheeler and now feigns an effort to find those loyal fans. I call BS, some of them are right here on this forum!

You are telling us that the depositors money in the Wells Fargo Bank Escrow Account was not protected? All those depositors lost their money? Do you think an Investment Law Firm will take IdeaLab to Court in a Class Action Lawsuit for its failure in its fiduciary duty to keep the depositors money safe in an escrow account in the event of Aptera Motors Inc. Bankruptcy? Now it all makes sense why IdeaLab would not return my emails and phone calls. The past occupant caring for the deposits and fans of the three wheeler.....right. Reminds me of someone promising 'not to rest until they found the real killers".

@Truthseeker

The deposits were in escrow at Wells Fargo- literally no one could touch them. Being away from the company for some time my guess is that they are still there in some sort of legal limbo. Aptera administrated the accounts but now there is no more Aptera.

On behalf of the deposit holders I will try and get some clarity from Wells Fargo on the refund process as it is not forthcoming from Idealab, or the former executives.

I will post as soon as I have the info.

Thank you Steve.

Your and Tricia's positive integrity is such a refreshing contrast to you know who.
